Ostrobothnia is the energy cluster of Finland. There is a lot of  automation needs in e.g. power plants, transmission substations,  distribution substation and different type of vehicles and products manufactured in our region. That’s why we have developed a state of the art Automation and IoT   laboratories.

Automation laboratory

This laboratory focuses on three main topics, automation, control engineering and industrial data communication. Automation is mainly PLC programming and Scada systems. Control engineering is learning PID-controllers. Data communication is mainly OPCUA and Modbus.

Examples of automation projects and processes from the laboratory

In the laboratory for control engineering we have tower crane, servo, tanks, pendelum, heating and pressure processes.
