Welcome to Technobothnia

Technobothnia Research Centre strengthens the position of Vaasa as a significant centre of expertise in the field of technology. The research centre is a massive joint project, involving the Ministry of Education, the city of Vaasa, the University of Vaasa, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences and Novia University of Applied Sciences. All three educational institutions are on the same campus as the Technobothnia Research Centre. This unique joint effort guarantees a comprehensive and varied laboratory complex. It lays the foundation for innovative forms of cooperation which promise substantial benefits also for trade and industry.

Technobothnia's mission statement is to

• provide a framework for high-standard research and education in the field of technology
• serve as a channel of cooperation between educational institutions, enterprises and other research institutes and technology centres
• offer research, and product development, as well as education, measurement and testing services to the private and the public sector
