University of Applied Sciences takes responsibility for the regional demand for labour and the regional development as well as national responsibility for providing higher education in Swedish. Around half of our degree programmes are the only ones of their kind in Finland that are provided in Swedish.

Vaasa Polytechnic is a multi-disciplinary, multilingual and international institution providing higher education and research services within Technology and Communication, Business Economics and Tourism as well as Health Care and Social Services.
